A 1,100-pound keelson, the largest portion of what remains of "La Belle," is the
focal point of the exhibition. Film footage of the massive excavation project in the
1990s shows overhead. This will be the spot in the museum where experts will
reassemble this puzzle of history.
The display will be permanently housed on the
first floor of the Bullock after the spring.
