The Industrial Workers of the World, Austin Against War, and the Austin Women in Black sponsor a forum, "Effects of the War on Terrorism," Wednesday, July 31, 7-8:30pm, at the Austin History Center, 810 Guadalupe. Marian Morris, returned from two weeks touring medical facilities in Afghanistan with Global Exchange, will discuss the medical costs of the war on terror; Dr. Kamran Ali will provide background on Pakistan and Afghanistan; Will Harrell, director of the Texas ACLU, will discuss reductions in civil liberties in the U.S. since September 11.
