Creatures Great and Small Live Together on Noah's Land

Noah's Land Wildlife Park, in Harwood, Texas, was acquired by Rick and Cheri Watson in August 1998. Previously run as a roadside zoo attraction, the sprawling 400-acre park began its tenure as an animal sanctuary when Cheri, with a decade's worth of experience as Wildlife Rescue's Deer Team Leader under her belt, began acquiring damaged and neglected animals. "We had a whole lot of empty cages and a whole lot of animals that needed rescuing. We see a lot of 'broken animals,'" as she calls her patients. "We purchase 'em that way," she beams, obviously proud of the work they do in helping these injured and neglected creatures.
