Second Helpings

888 Vietnamese Restaurant

911 W. Anderson Ln., 302-5433

Wed-Mon, 10am-9pm

888 is a homey little noodle spot that does a brisk business, with a heavy concentration on pho, noodle soups, and rice platters. There are several good bun (pronounced boon) selections offered to the serious vermicelli freaks in the crowd, and 888 has a reputation as one of the best of the Viet noodle houses. Try the specials: Vietnamese beef stew and the steamed rice paper rolls with assorted fillings. No meal is complete without a jackfruit shake, with its rich, aromatic, and vaguely citrusy flavor.
