Dear Editor,
Thank you for publishing the article on water conservation by Romir Jain ["
With Lake Travis Still Under 50% Capacity, It Is Time to Rethink Our Lawns," Opinion, Aug. 9] and the
letter to the editor sent in by Mary Milam. I completely agree with both and appreciate their efforts to educate your readers. I hope that your readers will take their advice and do their part in conserving our "most precious resource." It needs to be used so much more wisely now than ever before! I haven't watered my lawn for many years ... some summers it is brown and crunchy, some summers it thrives. It's fine either way, it's Texas! And to all of those that still believe they must water their lawns, I have a toast for you: "Let's raise an empty glass to your green grass."
