Balking! at the Buffet

RECEIVED Tue., Dec. 21, 2021

Dear Editor,
As a decades-long reader of the Chronicle, I have yet to find a single useful news item about food since Wayne Alan Brenner took over. In this pandemic era, Austin food news should feature ways to enjoy food without undue COVID risk.
To Go Meals should be featured as well as ingredients for home-prepared meals. Restaurants should be mentioned for efforts to serve To Go meals with exemplary taste and creativity, and for in-person safe dining measures. The present potpourri of items and food purveyors misses the mark for the present Austin diner’s needs.

Flipping for Hamilton

RECEIVED Fri., Dec. 17, 2021

Dear Reviewer,
We saw Hamilton at the PAC Dec. 7. At about midpoint, one of the actresses came running across the stage right to left, and at the middle of the stage she did a spectacular, Simone Biles-worthy flip and kept on going. I have seen the original Hamilton on film and I could see no such scene. I was wondering if this gymnastic exhibit was an ad lib by the Austin company, or has the production been revised to include it, or what? Thank you.
