Stars Begin Playoff Homestand
Series tied 1-1

After their ultra-impressive run all the way to the Calder Cup Finals in their first year of existence – where they fell short to the Hershey Bears – Cedar Park's own Texas Stars are back at the Cedar Park Center hosting three home playoff games starting tonight.
The Nashville Predators' American Hockey League affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, hosted our Stars for the first two games of the best-of-seven West Division Semifinal. The Admirals picked up the win in game one and the Stars tied the series with a victory in game two. The Admirals held the best regular-season record in the West Division.
Game three is tonight at the CPC! I caught several of the Stars playoff games last year and the house was packed and the hockey was thrilling. Central Texas sports fans do not want to miss this. Tonight's game is H-E-B Night where fans can bring any H-E-B brand nonperishable food item to the CPC box office and get five bucks off the ticket price. On top of that, every home game in this series will be 3-2-1 night. Fans can purchase $3 domestic drafts, $2 sodas, and $1 hot dogs. What a deal!
If you can't attend in person, tune your radio to 1530 on the AM dial. Go Stars!
Vs. Milwaukee: Tue., April 19, 7:30pm; Wed., April 20, 7:30pm; Fri., April 22, 7:30pm. Cedar Park Center, 2100 Avenue of the Stars, Cedar Park, 512/467-8277. $12-50.
