The first-ever Copa Aztex hosted by the Austin Aztex and UT was a smashing success. In attendance were 7,044 futbol devotees (a Mike A. Myers record – which some fans suggest is inaccurately low) from as far away as Mexico who kept their horns blaring throughout. The game ended in a 1-1 tie between Cruz Azul (in blue) and the Tigres (in yellow) with Cruz Azul getting the victory by coin toss due to travel commitments. Here are some highlights from the game.
