Austin Rugby Club Hosts the Women’s Club National Playoffs

The Austin Rugby Club will join forces with USA Rugby – the national governing body for rugby in the U.S. – to host the 16 best women's rugby clubs in the nation this weekend, Oct. 27-28, at Burr Field right here in the ATX. For directions to the pitch, click here.

The Division I Women’s Senior Club playoffs will feature teams from Washington D.C., Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Kansas City, San Diego, Denver, Atlanta, Portland, Berkeley, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, and defending champions, New York. This tourney serves as qualifying round for the Women’s Club National Championships held in Orlando, Fla., in early November. It also serves as a good scouting opportunity for the Women’s National Team.

Matches will take place between 9:30am and 4pm on Saturday and from 8:30am to 3pm on Sunday. Tickets available at the gate for $5 with parking available for $3. For more info please see www.usarugby.org.
