Austin Outlaws Open Training Camp

You know Austin has its own women's tackle football team, right? The Austin Outlaws have finalized their roster, and training camp has begun for the start of their fourth season as part of the National Women's Football Association. The Outlaws finished their regular season last year with a 6-2 record (both losses at the hands of the Oklahoma City Lightning) and earned themselves their first-ever franchise playoff berth. Unfortunately they were one and done in the playoffs, losing to the Locomotion of Chattanooga, 23-6. Their regular season begins April 14 at home versus the Gulf Coast Herricanes. Weekday practices are held at Givens Recreational Center off East 12th Street and weekend practices are held at Bedichek Middle School in South Austin. Here's the schedule: Monday and Thursday nights from 7pm-9:30pm at Givens Recreational Center (3811 E. 12th street). Saturday days from 9am-11:30am at Bedichek Middle School (6801 Bill Hughes Road).
