In anticipation of their world premiere of new feature Kid-Thing later this month at Sundance, the Zellner Bros. (Messrs David and Nathan) have a good long chat with Mike Plante at his podcast, Cinemad.
On their early VHS shorts: "They're pretty cringe-y now, 'cause it's like these prepubescent boys acting like perverts. We had one called 'Part-Time Jobs,' like a buddy cop thing. By day they were cops and by night they were strippers." The Zellners were also the first filmmakers profiled in Indiewire's 2012 "Meet the Sundance Filmmakers" series. Check it out here.
