Annual Faces of Austin program now open for submissions
By Kimberley Jones, 11:57AM, Fri. Oct. 28, 2011

City Hall has sent a call out to local filmmakers to chronicle the "Faces of Austin."
The city's annual Faces of Austin program seeks short films that reflect Austin's "diverse faces, voices, and experiences." Selected shorts will screen at a special program at SXSW 2012 and be added to a permanent interactive display at City Hall. How's that for exposure?
Here's the fine print:
Austin-area filmmakers of all experience levels are encouraged to apply by submitting an application and DVD version of their short film to FACES OF AUSTIN Coordinator, Kevin Shaw at [email protected]. Submission application and information can be found at the FACES OF AUSTIN website at www.austintexas.gov/redevelopment/austinfaces.htm.
Deadline for submissions is 5pm on Jan. 16, 2012, so get them cameras rolling.
