Nineties Retro Weekend

Three Saturday events make for one hella dope throwback spectacular

Okay ladies and JNCOs of the ATX, whether you're hipster or not, don your Docs and slip into your favorite acid-washed denim and flannel, because this weekend Austin is throwing it back.

Kick your weekend off at Spinners Live for Saved by the 90's. Ladies, you're not gonna want to miss this cool costume event hosted by Lesbutante & the Bo$$ and Girl Pride ATX. Tickets are $15 at the door but only $10 in advance, so ditch the scrub eyeing you down at the end of the bar, and rock ya crop top in support of Out Youth.

Guys, looking for something to do with ya boo? Take that fine "lady" out, and get jiggy with Middle School Dance Party's Summer Romance featuring DJ GirlFriend with special guest Mahealani at Cheer Up Charlies. This event is totally free, but if ya wanna leave a li'l somthin' somethin' for their trouble, donations will be accepted at the door for Girls Rock Camp Austin. Dress to impress, because the person with the dopest outfit will win free passes to Fun Fun Fun Fest.

Get your bom bom up north to G'town to support Bidi Bidi Banda and the Tequila Rock Revolution at Hardtails Bar & Grill. Again, admission is $15 at the door, but only $10 in advance, so break out them dead presidents and pay homage to the Nineties goddess, aka the Queen of Tejano music, because we know you will do "anything for Selenasssss."
