This weekend Austin plays host to the Texas Burlesque Festival. And where there's glitter, tassels, and dancing ladies, there's queers galore, making the rounds, and enjoying the spring plumage.

Friday: Fill up on the burlesque scene tonight. The festival highlights some legends, Perle Noire pays tribute to Toni Elling, and Austin's Jigglewatts will do what they do best.

Double the fun with Brass Ovaries Carnival of Confections. Face painting, an Ovary Egg Hunt (Easter's just around the corner), and a legit cake walk.

Suggestion: Remember the festival runs through Saturday so plan accordingly.

Saturday: Remind yourself why punk was the best music genre ever (I might be biased). But tonight Austin's (s)punky BitterHeart Society opens for San Antonia's FEA at Badlands. Who's FEA you ask? Oh ya know, just a riot grrrl super group made up of Girl in a Coma and Lisa Frank band-members. Amazing.

Suggestion: Go twice. Remember to breathe.

Sunday: Do yerself a favor and get to Lesbian Wedding today. No no no, it's not an actual wedding just a Sunday Funday tea dance. That's a daytime dance party for those who are still wondering. This month's event promises waffles, day drinking, and Girlfriend making you move.

Suggestion: Apply sunscreen vigorously, and don't forget your sunglasses.
