Expected icy road conditions stymie bus service
By Lee Nichols, 9:57AM, Fri. Feb. 4, 2011

Not everything in the city is completely shut down: Capital Metro is running buses, albeit on a reduced schedule. Even that little bit of service won't last, though: Due to expected re-icing, Cap Met will completely shut down at 7pm tonight. And no rail service today. Press release from Cap Met below:
Due to the anticipation of refreezing and hazardous road conditions this evening, Capital Metro will end service early. Customers should be on the bus by 7 p.m. in order to catch the last trips of the day. Prior to 7 p.m., we will continue to operate Sunday schedules (no MetroRail, no MetroExpress, no UT Shuttle). Passengers should refer to Sunday schedules and times.MetroAccess service for seniors and passengers with disabilities will serve scheduled trips only as road conditions allow.
The GO Line and MetroAccess call centers are staffed today to answer calls.
