Watson Inks Cap Metro Contract

New CEO will get base of $228,000 per year

Linda S. Watson, the CEO of Lynx Transportation Authority in Orlando, has just signed her contract to assume the same position with Capital Metro. The highlights:

• Five-year contract
• Base salary of $228,000 in first year
• Eligible for 4% increase every year, if board approves
• Deferred compensation of $25,000 per year
• Relocation costs reimbursement up to $65,000
• Possible yearly performance bonuses of up to 12.5% of base salary
• Eligibility for severance pay if contract is terminated
