ATXers fundraise tonight for second annual Circus festival

Tree-hugging, Vitamin D-endorsed foursome Full Service have been mailing laminated, hand-drawn comics to Chronicle Music editor Raoul Hernandez since last year. He began collecting them when he caught on, but the Austin rockers aren’t any closer to scoring a cover. This week’s installment plugs tonight’s Full Service telethon.

The locals, comprised of friends, roommates, and unfettered yoga partners Bonesaw, Smelly, Sunny, and Hoag Kepner – the illustrator – begin fundraising efforts for their second annual Full Service Circus festival, happening locally Oct. 24-26. Tonight’s webcast streams on the band’s website.
Running 7-10pm, the live variety show features all manner of games, puppets, live music, and comedy, with funds going toward production of the festival, a three-day expo featuring a silent auction, soccer game, big feasts, and three performances over the weekend. Full Service’s fervent fanbase converges on Austin for a weekend promising to be bigger and better than last year’s inaugural voyage.
Tickets cost $85 plus tax ($75 for returning Circus-goers), and are available tonight beginning at 7pm sharp. After that – according to this comic – our Full Service cover story should be coming down the pike at any minute. Hey fellas, how about a Chronicle Daily comic?
