The restaurants, chefs, food artisans, and food trucks of Central Texas are definitely a tantalizing attraction for various food and travel television programs these days. Tune in this week to see Austin food on the Food Network and the Cooking Channel.

Popular TV hosts Guy Fieri and G. Garvin spend time around town earlier this year and their programs showcasing Austin culinary attractions hit the airwaves over the next few weeks. Look for the spectacular hand-crafted sandwiches made by chefs John Bates and Brandon Martinez at the Noble Pig (11815 RR 620 N) to appear in an episode of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives entitled Serious Sandwiches debuting on the Food Network Monday, June 11 at 9pm.

The Cooking Channel’s Road Trip With G. Garvin stops at several Austin locations, including the Tenderland trailer (2314 Manor Rd.) for a pork tenderloin sandwich and Hoover’s Soular Food Garden (1110 East 12th) for some veggie-centric soul food before ending up at Frank (407 Colorado) for a lesson in pairing custom sausages with cocktails. Catch G. Garvin on the Cooking Channel Tuesday, June 12 at 8pm.

Fieri’s vintage Camaro is back in Austin in a couple of weeks with a stop at Foreign & Domestic (307 E. 53rd) where he’ll reveal some of the secrets of chef Ned Elliott’s seasonally-inspired cuisine on Monday, June 25th at 9pm. As usual, all three programs will have multiple airdates after the first showing.
