Women Council Members Back Fam-Plan Funds
Reproduction rights advocates got a boost from City Council's better half, who came out today in support for comprehensive family planning funding – including abortion coverage – in the budget vote facing the Travis County Healthcare District Board tonight.

The message seems to be that it's time to put Dockers on and behave like real men, instead of disco dancin', non-fat latte sippin', salad eatin' sissies. Making the World Safe for Fall Footwear
This is such a nasty time of year, pipes freeze, wind whips at the roof shingles, and the hydrangea requires its blankie. Never mind all of that, however, for there is a greater peril in your life at the moment: Your beautiful fall footwear is under attack from mud, standing water, and salt, not to mention ever-present, uneven pavement.

When first booked, last Sunday's event at Scholz Garten for Houston Mayor Bill White was billed as Bill White for Senate. By the time he got there, it was Bill White for Governor. That could explain why just about every elected official and Democratic activist in Travis County squeezed into the back room to hear his first gubernatorial stump speech in Austin.
