Dinner with the Doc, Nov. 10: HIV Basics

At its next HIV education program, ASA is offering another free Dinner with the Doctor on Monday, Nov. 10. Enrique Perez M.D., will be here from San Antonio to talk about the fundamentals of HIV/AIDS and its treatment. It will be an excellent opportunity to learn or review the basics, especially for poz people who are just starting out on their HIV journey.

Dr. Perez is one of the most respected HIV-treating physicians in San Antonio, with patients from all walks of life both in private practice and through public clinic. He also teaches at the University of Texas Health Science Center as a member of the infectious disease faculty.

Highly regarded as an engaging and good-humored presenter, Dr. Perez is bilingual and relates easily with folks of varied cultures. The presentation will be given in English, but simultaneous translation will be provided for Spanish-monolingual attendees. Dinner with Dr. Perez will begin at 6:30 on Monday evening, Nov. 10, at ASA, 7215 Cameron Rd. (just north of St. Johns). The evening is free, thanks to the generous sponsorship of pharmaceutical manufacturers Boehringer Ingleheim and Gilead Sciences. RSVP will be appreciated, so we can get a head-count for food; call Tim at 406-6118 or e-mail [email protected].
