Smack in the middle of the brouhaha over the proposed smoking ban in Austin's clubs, a curious thing happened. One of the town's best new bands, electro-rockers Single Frame Ashtray, dropped their "Ashtray" like a bad habit. Were they trying to appeal to the under-18 crowd? Or maybe they thought their band would be banned as well. Single Frame lives on, but they ain't smokin' anymore.
