Two Moon Junction

"I end up in a liplock with every man I have ever watched this with ..."

Call this the ultimate in guilty pleasure: a film steaming with sexual tension, hokey script, and shot in intimate soft focus. Director Zalman King, noted for other high-class cinematic hokum such as Wild Orchid and 91é2 Weeks, here gives us a platinum blond Sherilyn Fenn falling for carny Richard Tyson just before her wedding. Naturally, she gives her virginity up to him, and they embark on a hot affair that manages to keep them as naked as possible. This is pleasant enough, but King offers comic relief in the guise of Oscar-winning actress Louise Fletcher and a scheming Burl Ives, plus a sexy flirtation between Fenn and Kristy McNichol as a bourbon-drinking, truck-driving, AC/DC cracker. The plot is just silly enough to ignore, but if you do make it to the end, you'll root for Fenn and her white-trash hunk. I've only seen the end once, because after Fenn gets naked for the second time, I end up in a liplock with every man I have ever watched this with. Which was the whole point of watching it.
