Protesters gathered outside U.S. Sen. John Cornyn's office on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 to demand the withdrawal of Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court. Chants included: “Cornyn is a coward," “Don’t hesitate, investigate,” and “Anita Hill and Dr. Ford, they told the truth and got ignored.” During Thursday's Senate Judiciary hearing, Sen. Cornyn declined to question Dr. Christine Blasey Ford but made his feelings plain when he told Judge Kavanaugh, "I can't think of a more embarrassing scandal for the United States Senate since the McCarthy hearings. ... Judge, don't give up."
