Dear Editor,
In response to an article about Medicaid delays for new moms, I have a personal experience to share ["Is Medicaid for Postpartum Moms Still Happening? Most Likely." News, Jan. 12]. I gave birth in April 2024, and was IMMEDIATELY removed from Medicaid. My re-application was ignored to this day. Extending eligibility is a farce so long as the applications remain un-reviewed. Thank you for sharing an article that brings this issue to light.
