Missing the Listings

RECEIVED Tue., March 19, 2024

Dear Editor,
I look forward to Tom Tomorrow, The Luv Doc, Mr. Smarty Pants, the cartoons, and the regular electoral recommendations. In fact I send them on by snail mail to a relative, compulsively.
I understand recent exigencies have required you to gird your loins. Haven't we all, even when a new I-35 tunnel is not being built beside us?
Despite declining sight, I can even adapt to the smaller font, up to a point, and with difficulty and a large magnifier. What I don't understand is the abandonment of the perpetually impoverished performing artists' listings. I really miss these chronicles of rep theatre, classical and not-so-ancient music performance groups, art happenings, and diverse cultural creations. They gave me a sense of the real Austin, from real Austin sources from real writers, reporters, and scribes. I realise these starving artists don't keep the AC afloat financially, but they were a small column inch expenditure, for a large albeit hidden community gain. Isn't there some way to restore the arts listings, and keep the AI bots at bay?
    Thanks for your efforts.
