Dear Editor, Cats and dogs make babies thousands of times faster than we do. This is simple seventh grade math. Why can't our city's leaders do seventh grade math and address the real cause of the problem? Until we reach that point where we can teach our pets about using condoms and taking birth control pills ... or teach them maybe abstinence? Until then; we should focus more on spay/neuter. It's much cheaper and even healthier and humane than warehousing them in a City Shelter or even a rescue group. Maybe do what's right instead of as Mayor Adler's excuse to me was, "it's not politically expedient"?
