The Debate Continues

RECEIVED Tue., March 30, 2021

Mr. Allan Brenner,
Having actually gotten a B.J. from the UT in 1976, I learned one thing: spelling must be correct.
You may know, maybe not. There was a big campaign to correct the name of Menchaca Rd.
Maybe, the owner of the mushroom business decided not to correct to the proper spelling and led you astray ["Austin Mushrooms With a View to the Future," Food, March 26].
The street was named after a famous person. Look it up on the internet. We didn't correct the name of the city just the street.
Article was interesting but front page.
I will continue reading the Chronicle in hopes you will spell Menchaca Rd correctly. Even spell check doesn't understand it was corrected.
