Dear Editor,
I'm sure you're getting other letters about this, but your "In an Austin Tea Room, the Japanese Way of Tea Is Taught Over Zoom" [Naked City, Feb.5] article left me a little incredulous. I'm sure her tea practice brings her joy, but why is the Chronicle giving this woman press? Are there no actual Japanese in Austin that can speak to this? This is like me taking up African dance for 10 years, getting a couple of certificates, and then declaring myself a teacher of African dance.
Really tone deaf, Chronicle. Seriously.
