Dear Editor,
In recent coverage of the Austin Convention Center [“
Pushing for Expansion,” News, Oct. 23], Richard Whittaker writes "the building hosted over 9,000 dermatologists for the annual gathering for skin care company Rodan + Fields." Please note that Rodan + Fields is a multilevel marketing operation that advertises "dermatologist-created" products alongside its "proven business system" for recruiting new sellers. I would expect the 9,000 in attendance were what R+F calls "consultants" striving to build a "legacy of success" as opposed to medical professionals.
