Dear Editor,
Come on guys, citing Mayors Against Illegal Guns as a source for accurate statistics in gun crimes is terrible journalism [“Lege Lines,” News, March 15]. By now, we should all realize a more accurate name for that organization would be "Bloomberg Against All Guns.” That 40% statistic is 20 years old and was questionable then, as it consisted of one small survey. I'm sure everyone would roll their eyes if I threw out statistics from the NRA and expected them to be believed. Also, in that photo of all the guns lined up meant to scare us, I count one pump shotgun and a bunch of BB and pellet guns. Maybe Bloomberg's right; I didn't know our state was the fourth worst at illegally trafficking kids' air guns.
