Dear Editor,
Michael Ventura has written as good or better than this week’s “A Jog in the Smog” [“
Letters at 3AM,” Aug. 10], but this is the first time I have ever been moved to ask the
Chronicle hierarchy to get one of his columns submitted for a Pulitzer. When Ventura isn’t off on some movie or musical existential rant, his stuff, as evidenced by this masterfully crafted column on the catastrophic devolvement of the American way of life, is far and away the best reading for people capable of critical thinking.
