Dear Editor, The Obama Justice Department has once again shown its sensitivity and understanding to Bush-era Republicans with the “get outta jail free card” handed to Tom DeLay, former Republican House leader. Likewise, Eric Holder and his army of do-nothing lawyers (all feeding at the public trough), have not prosecuted a single Bush Republican for their many crimes and misdemeanors that include phony wars, obscene tax cuts for the obscenely wealthy, 'round-the-clock citizen surveillance and … the list goes on. Why is that? Could it be that there is not a scintilla of difference between Republicans and Democrats, especially in the poisonous swamp called Washington, D.C.? Maybe they are actually all members of the same exclusive club. Is it government for and by the rich, privileged, and entitled, and the rest of us are just extras and background for the movie An American Democracy showing on TV nightly? Was that famous Republican, Dwight Eisenhower, correct 50-plus years ago warning us about the military-industrial complex taking over and running what used to be our country?
