Dear Editor, While I advocate the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” in principle, I appeal to gay teenagers and young adults to reject the armed services as a career or education prospect. I appeal to the president and the Pentagon to immediately withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan. I appeal to them to cease all drone missile attacks, because it is both cowardly and profoundly counterproductive to proceed with that policy. I call upon them to abandon the heroin and opium production from the poppy crops they protect and to abort the decades-old plan to attack Iran. Iraq has been a disaster of unparalleled proportions. Afghanistan is lost. How can the American people tolerate for one minute propaganda promoting our staging an invasion of Iran? This is utter madness. We are in the process of leaving to future generations a Third World country of squalor and disease. History will have been rewritten to exclude all mention of the Bill of Rights, Posse Comitatus, and habeas corpus, and like zombies, those generations will attend daily pep rallies to cheer on the endless manufactured wars. It is now or never that the people must powerfully and peaceably revolt. It is a poisonous psyops deception that to do so is futile and pointless, that what we see now in any way resembles what the Founding Fathers envisioned, that this is merely the swing of the pendulum, and exactly how the republic is meant to operate. Enough!
