Dear Editor,
In her review of
Ella Es el Matador [“
TV Eye,” Screens, Aug. 28], Belinda Acosta asks if bullfighting is “theatre, ritual, dance, sport, or a bloody spectacle?” She then offers that the film shows there is no definitive answer. Let's see. Bulls are tortured with spears and then brutally killed for the amusement of a group of morons. Seems pretty definitive to me, especially from the bull's point of view.
