Margaret Moser's 'Deep East Texas Roots'

RECEIVED Tue., March 24, 2009

Dear Editor,
In all fairness and in response to Nederland's Kathy Hollier, what Margaret Moser failed to mention in her response to Hollier's letter [“Postmarks,” March 20] about the SchoolJam Daze vote [Earache! Music blog, March, 2] is that Margaret has deep East Texas roots. I've met her aunt and nephews in the Golden Triangle, and she is much loved. Trust me, she is most aware of Southeast Texans the Bopper, Johnny and Edgar, George, Janis, Tex, Tracy, Mark (one name will suffice), and many other amazing East Texas musicians. She does not have a biased bone in her body. Period!
Sincerely,
Jack Ortman
P.S. p.s. Isn't Margaret due for a raise? What another great awards show!
