Hey,
Just played your lovely city for the Fun Fun Fun Fest, and while loitering in the backstage area before we played, I happened to flip open to a little interview with myself and one of your writers, Darcie Stevens [“
Fun Fun Fun Fest Interviews: Sunday,” Music, Nov. 7]. I'm quoted as saying "There are no great ideas in a community,” and unless I was off my meds during the interview, major corrections are in order. Despite the somewhat facetious tone ("You need a despotic leader"), what I said was, "There are no great ideas in a committee," referencing the old saying about a horse and Egypt. Or something. My point is, I looked like a ponce and felt the need to stress: I love communities.
