Accelerate Disintegration

RECEIVED Mon., Sept. 8, 2008

Dear Editor,
During Sarah Palin's embarrassing speech at the Republican National Convention last week, we saw such a staggering avalanche of bullshit; it's enough to make you forget how many houses you own. Her address, ostensibly meant to outline a sophisticated political philosophy, was a patchwork of transparent platitudes. It's easy to get caught up asking the wrong questions like, "Is she fucking crazy?"
We're on a white-water-rapid run toward economic oblivion, yet poor and lower-middle-class Republicans are breaking their dicks off at the balls climbing over each other to fellate the wealthy pundits who claim it isn't so. That cable newsies even discuss the preposterous bravado of the Republicans as some kind of legit strategy is beyond words. We live in a world where the concept of a candidate serving as a community organizer inspires snide laughter and childish boos, but perhaps this is a good thing. Maybe we should facilitate the cultural and economic apocalypse.
If you're really interested in meaningful change for our country, if you find yourself repulsed, confused, and vein-poppingly pissed like me, then do the right thing and vote for John McCain. It will bring us one step closer to the disintegration of this charade, upon the crest of which a new dawn will arrive. Revolutions don't come easy. Let's not pretend we can put this snowballing disaster on our American Express and wait for the bill. Let's make sure the snowball's big enough to crush everything in its path and leave not one speck of the world we knew. I've brought enough loincloths and spears for the whole class. Let's get this freak show on the road.
