At Least the Whole Story Was Online

RECEIVED Sun., Aug. 31, 2008

Dear Editor,
I sure am glad that you have the whole story about Stuart Moulton available online [“A Diva's Best Friend,” Arts, Aug. 29].
Robert Dailey
[Arts Editor Robert Faires responds: So are we, although we're reprinting the story in full in the Sept. 5 print edition of the Chronicle to give anyone without Web access the chance to read it. The failure to get the entire story in the Aug. 28 edition came about from a last-minute change to the page layout to expand the story beyond one page. Ads were moved to make room for the new copy, and the revised page was sent to the printer, but the printer never replaced the original page of ads, and the error wasn't caught before the full run of the paper was printed and distributed. So the story stopped in midsentence. The Chronicle regrets the error.]
