Government Lying About Inflation

RECEIVED Fri., July 25, 2008

Dear sirs,
The government is lying about inflation. They don't want to give raises to the people on Social Security, disabled vets, railroad workers, and others. We are told that inflation is 5% to 6%, instead of the real figure that is closer to 15%. Just look at the price of food and other items – some have doubled. That would make it closer to 100% than 5%.
Many of us are suffering when we can't afford medicine or food throughout the month. I talked to someone at Social Security who told me if there are any increases, it will be after December.
Meanwhile, the oil companies are laughing their asses off on the way to the their banks. The rich get richer, while the rest of us get screwed!
