Dear Editor, I'd just like to encourage Chronicle readers to check out the documentary Meeting Face to Face about a tour of Iraqi labor union leaders in the U.S. President Bush kept in place Saddam Hussein's law outlawing unions in Iraq. Despite this, these union leaders continue to organize and work in Iraq, presenting a view of a genuine nonviolent, nonsectarian, and anti-occupation movement. This is incredibly important, because right now Bush is pressuring the Iraqi parliament to privatize two-thirds of Iraqi oil to foreign corporations. It would be wonderful if the Chronicle were to devote an article to the matter, and anyone opposed to the occupation should study this issue and contact their legislators.
