Service Fees Should Be Refunded as Well

RECEIVED Thu., June 14, 2007

Dear Editor,
I was pretty pumped to hear that the Psychedelic Furs and the Alarm were coming to Stubb's: two bands from the Eighties that I would still pay to see. I bought two tickets and was ready to go. I was a little bummed to see my 50 dollars' worth of tickets turn into $64 when all the fees were added on, but what can you do? Well, the show was canceled. Again, bummer. However, it was nothing compared to seeing my $64 refund turn into a $50 refund. When I called Front Gate I was informed that fees are not refundable, and that I agreed to that policy when I bought the tickets. The person I talked to did admit that in order to buy my tickets, I had no choice but to agree to the policy. I guess the joke was on me. I know that sometimes shows get canceled … but you know, most don't. Refund the fees Front Gate! It's the cost of doing business. Your policy isn't ethical.
