Dear Editor, My husband and I traveled from Dallas on Sunday for the ZZ Top concert, and what a disaster! It began with the parking map, which was incorrect from the Web site. How difficult is it to provide accurate directions? As many employees stood around doing nothing, hundreds and thousands of cars were trying to navigate down a single-lane road only to wind down a dusty gravel pit to the final parking destination. We even observed employees navigating two cars into one parking spot – very dangerous. As we proceeded to the cow trail up the hill, an employee asked us to "cross over" into oncoming traffic. We found most of the employees extremely rude and abrasive. One asked my husband to move two steps forward after I left to go to the restroom. Is this not a free country, and are we not allowed to stand anywhere in a "standing room only" show? After all, this was what we paid our hard-earned money for – to park and stand in a gravel pit! The climax was the exit. We had walked about four to five steps when we heard a Nazi-type female voice yell, "Mam! Mam!" I turned around to see a group of employees sitting on the rail. Working supposedly? She shouted, "You can't take that out of here.” I was puzzled since I only had a jacket and a bottle of water that I just bought inside. She then realized it was water and had not been opened and then said it was OK to take. I tossed it in the trash, not wanting any memory of this evening. Why not inquire first before screaming to a paying patron? We will never return and agree with most people at the show that night – if you're a serious concertgoer, avoid the Backyard.
