It's Hard Getting Lectured by Brits Given Their Colonial Records, but It Doesn't Slow Them Down

RECEIVED Wed., Aug. 9, 2006

Dear Editor,
A huge amount of protest against Israel is taking place in the UK this weekend. London and other major cities have organized rallies which look to be very well attended. We in the Palestine Solidarity Campaign in Glasgow are picketing a cricket match in Glasgow. This is the under-19 international, and of course there is a strong boycott of all things Israeli here. Thursday's match was canceled. I have my handcuffs ready to lock onto the entrance gate. I will be arrested but let go the same day. I am nearly 70, and these protests empower me and get rid of some of the anger!
Best wishes and peace to you all,
Joyce Carmichael
