Dear Editor, During this last year or so, two of the more prominent battles for our American culture/civil and human rights were the Terri Schiavo/right-to-life incident and the anti-gay marriage bill. Does anyone other than me not find it curious that, with the current dominating force of this nation being the fundamental religious and the right wing, that the two most wildly popular movies of the year are Million Dollar Baby and Brokeback Mountain? I have not yet watched the latter of the two, but I have watched Million Dollar Baby. I think Million Dollar Baby makes a great case for right to choose. And yet I haven't seen the usual denunciation and negative commentary from the fundamental right regarding either movie.
