Cosmic Cafe Opening Is Good News

Dear Editor,
As an old Austinite I'm sorry the lovely West Lynn Cafe has closed, but so happy to hear the Cosmic Cafe is opening a branch in Austin [“Postmarks,” Aug. 5]! I live in L.A. now, but when in Dallas I always run (not walk) to the Cosmic Cafe on Oak Lawn for their wonderful, relaxed spiritual atmosphere, and savory healthy vegetarian cuisine, and I love to spend long afternoons writing there with my bottomless cup of chai. Also love the live Indian music at night and laid-back yoga classes. Owner Praveen has a wonderful attitude toward his customers and restaurant. Wish we had one in L.A. Maybe I'll move back to Austin. You're gaining a real gem!
