Dear Editor, Thank you for providing such insightful coverage of the upcoming Gloria Anzaldúa event ["Every Woman Everywhere," Books, Oct. 15]. Anzaldúa is one of those great writers whose impact has been felt widely in academia, but it's less certain what her impact has been otherwise. Ms. Acosta's discussion of the students' letters that Ms. Anzaldúa never got to read indicates to me that the impact of her work is still rippling across the globe. It's some of the most powerful, passionate, and well-crafted writing you will ever read – and especially if you've ever doubted your art or the importance of our struggle as women of color you must seek out her work!
