To the editor: It's time for President Bush to stop the stonewalling and come clean about his relationship with the Saudi royal family and their plan to manipulate the election and oil prices. Bob Woodward's book has raised a number of disturbing questions about the president's relationship with the Saudi royal family. Does Bush have a deal with the Saudis to influence the November elections by manipulating gas prices – a deal that is costing Americans at the pump? If President Bush can make deals with OPEC nations to lower gas prices, why isn't he doing it now, while Americans face record prices at the pump? The American public needs President Bush to answer other questions about his relationship with Saudi Arabia, too, including why he revealed secret war plans to Saudi Prince Bandar before he showed Colin Powell as quoted in Woodward's book. Time to pay the piper Mr. President. Time to answer questions, time to stay at work in Washington instead of taking it easy at his Crawford ranch while Americans are having to bear the sacrifices of sending their loved ones to war, losing jobs and benefits, losing ground on inflation, and paying for Bush's oil deals (Halliburton's profits bought with the blood of our troops) at the gas pump.
