Possible Problem

RECEIVED Wed., March 24, 2004

To the Editor:
The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (aka the "9/11 Commission") is charged with investigating possible U.S. intelligence failures leading up to 9/11.
Philip D. Zelikow was a member of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board (2001-2003).
Today, among other things, Zelikow serves as the executive director of the 9/11 Commission. As such, he has operational control of the investigation under the overall management of the two co-chairs, Tom Kean and Lee Hamilton (www.911commission.gov/about/bio_zelikow.htm).
Furthermore, Zelikow is also a longtime professional colleague of National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice and even co-authored a book with Rice in 1995 (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0674353242/qid=1080158629/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/104-8086791-8105545?v=glance&s=books).
Might there be a problem here?
