W.'s political aides say that spending billions on a futuristic Mars shot is a reflection of Bush's optimistic nature ["The Hightower Report," Jan. 30]. Yeah, his optimism that he and his getting-richer rich cohorts can cash in on the economically valuable assets of the moon that we as a nation agreed not to exploit years ago at the start of the space program.
