As ugly as the Bush administration has become, we also have the vast sewer of far-right, neoconservative thugs on AM talk radio. We have Rush Limbaugh, an obnoxious drug-addicted racist. G. Gordon Liddy is a gun-crazed, convicted felon. Michael Savage is a war-mongering thug who tells us the way to reduce crime is to "give the police bigger sticks and more powerful weapons." Then there's Sean Hannity, one of Bush's puppets. The list goes on and on.
These shows are a disgrace to radio broadcasting and a disgrace to America. So, what can we do about this pollution of the radio airwaves? Boycott these disgusting shows. Don't listen to them. Hopefully, a big drop in listeners and Arbitron ratings will make these hyped-up thugs disappear.
